haha
Isn’t this a help forum?, not a lame joke forum?
Too bad everyone isn’t as perfect as you rynoe :sigh:
Although I don’t really understand what is meant by optimization tutorial. Optimization of what? Script? Animation?
Either way I don’t know any sites with tutorials on it, but it would help to clarify what you meant.
You cracking jokes at someone beacuse they used an “s” instead of a “z”. It isn’t that big of a deal man.
Did you come here from flashkit by any chance?
It is called a typo. I typed it fast and got 2 letters switched up, if it makes it impossible to figure out what the word really is perhaps you should get back to that English class.
:hangover: :cowboy: :phil: (-: :hat: :elderly:
:flower: <<<< HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Darkfx, I’m not sure what kind of optimization you’re trying to do, but here is a link to several techniques for optimazation. Maybe one of those would be of some use.

**ok beta…perhaps you need to review my last thread. I understand typo’s but I don’t like to assume anything…
YOU NEED TO CHILL OUT DUDE! **
Yeah you said because you make an *** outta yourself if you assume. But if you can’t figure out a word with only 2 letters switched it makes me wonder your definition of ***.
You are giving the forum a bad name by treating new comers like they are idiots.
And Jubba: HAHAHAHAHAHA :flower:
Nice link electrongeek. I will probably read up on that
Thanks Lost, I got it from my good buddy Google.
wow, it said that device fonts are better to use instead of embedded fonts…besidse the file size difference, I’d figure a font within the document would be better…
but I guess not…especially for smaller text…like 10 and below…
how odd
Well embedding an entire font list into your movie ups the file size a few Kb. So using device font allows you to save that space, but uses _sans, _serif or _typewriter in place of the font if they dont have it installed… yuk.
EDIT: Hmm, just noticed Rynoe deleted all his posts from this thread…
of course device fonts would be less on file size because the font is on the user’s machines and embeded fonts are in the actual file itself.
I know what google is rynoe
Nope… can’t say as I do man (-:
Thanks Lost & Electro.
To clarify what i mean file optimiZation:
Tutorials showing things like:
*importing sounds in WAV/Raw format (and letting Flash compress as opposed to recompressing a Mp3)
*importing images as PSD/PNG and again let Flash compress.
Basic quality & F-size optimiZation for Flash.
Things like that; i have read a bit in books but cant find much on the web. Any good tutorials anyone knows would be great.
ahhhhhhh not again!
I wrote optimization with a capital Z for illiterate American viewers (such as rynoe).

Hey darkfx
What you can do in FLash is right click on the file in your library and go to “Properties” and it allows you to manually edit the quality in there.
Works for images and sound.
