Polymedia (let us know what you think)

Polymedia… I am not refering to your site, sorry for the mix up… I was talking about bombingpixels site ( in my post I say bombingpixels… refering to him) - I know your site is orig.

FOR bombingpixels…

the template company is: perfectory.com

Im not trying to diss you or anything, just talking.

peace

Any other feedback ?

um… my site doesn’t go to perfectory.com? I have no idea what you’re talking about… I’ve never even heard of this site, and I made bombingpixels completely myself :wink:

I agree with Ordin and Simp -

Usability is issue #1 - the nav is invisible when viewing content, and then on mouseover takes a while to load. The highlight that follows the mouse is also slow to catch up - perhaps adjust the easing code? I am on a P4 on a state T1 line, so I know it’s not me.

Also on the nav - perhaps spice it up a little? Some of the greys on it and elsewhere seem to wash out.

The pictures are nice and the the transistions are nice - they seem a little jerky though.

It’s a nice website - just needs a little tweaking.

Polymedia, I agree…Those are GORGEOUS photographs. Although the music fits said photos perfectly, without a more visible audio on/off button, I can see how it’d begin to agitate me. Other than that, nice site!

Good ideas. Thanx. Any other feedback?

putting 0px margins in the body to fix the ff’s 100% flash buggy thing…

I liked it a lot BTW but just as i said before it doesn’t work in Netscape either. Maybe you should have an html version too for the flash-saavy ignorant.

bombingpixels:

I just tried to put a css style with 0 margins in the body and doesn’t change nothing.

You have an idea for me? Or maybe let me know exactly how you did it.

Thanx

it shouldn’t change anything in ie, but it should change it in firefox… try using just margin: 0px; instead of defining each side by itself, and while you’re at it, you might as well add padding: 0px; as well… then I hope it’ll work…

doesn’t work. still jags on top in firefox. Maybe you have an example I can based myself on?

fixed the bug. When I get the chance I will update the modifications so firefox users won’t have any problems viewing the site anymore…

any feedback concerning the main feeling of the site?

Hi everyone,

We have listened to you guys and made some interesting tweaks on our site. The site works on Firefox now. The navigation bar isn’t hidding anymore so it is easier to navigate. We added horizontal friction on our preloads also.

Here is the link again:

Thanx.

We polished our site a bit more.

Feedback would be great.

thanx…

i found your site to be perfectly usable so good job, my only comment is that is very similar to a lot of other sites out there…

you make your living as flash designers so you should be pushing boundaries and i dont feel your site does that. its just clean, simple design. if thats your aim then well done, but i found it (dare i say it) dull and wouldnt inspire me if i were a client wanting web design.

i didnt bother looking at your work section because my experience didnt persuade me to stay and rummage around

peace out

ps. good job on the changes, im just not feeling the overall design

>>Can you share how you fixed the Firefox 100% bug because I have tried >>putting ‘margin: 0px; padding: 0px;’ in my CSS and it still doesn’t work!

Found out the solution (for me anyway)!

in the body css put:
margin: 0px;
border: 0px;
height: 100%;

Easy, right.
