Hey all
My Powerbook has been acting up lately. Last week it starting making sizzling noises - found out it was caused by the battery, and a replacement one is on the way.
My other problem is the memory. When the machine boots up, it says either 256 or 512 mb ram onboard. I have both a 512 and a 256 block in it.
When it says the 256 block is active, the machine runs stable. When the 512 block is active it freezes up and prompts me to reboot.
wtf? It doesn’t count both blocks at any time anymore, only one at a time, per boot. I know I’ll have to change the 512 memory block, but is this behaviour normal when ram block act up? My PC just refuses to boot back when one of it’s blocks went poof.
