I’ve used Lostinbeta’s Kirupa tutorial and when I test it in flash I can see the preloader work, but uploaded it doesn’t. I couldn’t find the answer in the past threads (searched especially hard just for Jubba 
) but I can’t find a similar problem. Thanks for your help guys, I can’t see anything that would make this disfunction when online…

if the file that you uploaded is on your harddrive(and it should be), IE (or your browser) will open the file from your computer instead of from the server, and in doing that it doesnt have to load…it will already be fully loaded. to test the preloader, have someone else look at it, from another machine

actually i delete my temp internet files and it’s not like it loads immediately like your assuming it does, it instead takes a very long time to load the rather large file and all I see in the meantime is the black background colour. i SHOULD be seeing the loader bar. Any other ideas as to what could be wrong in this situation?
