Hey everyone,
Here are some quick tips on the various mod stuff that are here:
AdminCP
From here you will all take care of pesky users, change footers, etc. You can access it by going to http://www.kirupa.com/forum/admincp, or by clicking the Admin link towards the bottom of the forum pages.
Footers
If you find a footer that is violating the rules and you really really are so bored that you want to change it, you can also change them from the admin panel. Ideally, it would be nice to comment out (<.!-- and --.>) the existing user’s footer as opposed to deleting it. You can then add the [.v]footer is too big![/v] in there instead.
(ignore the .'s in the [v] and HTML coding tags)
Member Issues
If there are some members that are bugging you, it is highly recommended that you post about them here first so that you can get a 2nd and 3rd opinion. Also, if you feel you must ban someone, create a thread here telling us of who you banned and the reason for it
Deleting Threads
There is a Forbidden forum waaay at the bottom of the main forums page where you can move threads that might be useful to let other mods see. If you browse through that forum, you can see the threads that we have generally moved in the past.

Site of the Week (SOTW)
I am usually extremely busy during the spring and fall, so if you see SOTW falling behind schedule, feel free to remind me or, better yet, create the poll yourself! I have created a small program that creates the HTML needed to paste into the poll field: http://www.kirupa.com/forum/poll.htm All you need to enter is the submitter’s name and the site’s URL.
Feel free to edit this thread with any other extra info you all like. I figure this might be useful so that everyone (esp new moderators) know what all the buttons and sharp dangerous objects do
