I remember reading how to get the little box from showing in the top left corner of a PS file:
but I can’t seem to find how to. If anyone can lend me a hand that would be great.

on a mac im pretty sure its command-H, so maybe its ctrl-H on a pc
yep thats it ctrl-H show/hides the guides

View > Extras works too :). I thought it was slicing extras, not guides?
yeah show/hide the guides is ctrl+;
ctrl+h does the slices…etc.
Ctrl/Cmd+H also hides Selections. quite useful
