Reflection?

[color=darkblue]This might be a dumb question again, but you guys are probably used to those coming from me by now :wink:

Here it is: how do you make images like, ‘fade away’ in PS? I mean, in wallpapers and logos (like one of Soulty’s wallpapers) and other stuff, you sometimes see objects being ‘reflected’ on the floor they stand on… How do you make them ‘fade out’? You use the same pic which ‘stands on the ground’, turn it upside down and it fades out (yet again :)). This technique seems to be used for a lot of things, like fading out pictures in logo’s and footers… How?
