so I played this game in the arcade for the first time ever today. Its from 2001 … but I still found it hella fun! Its a shooter where your body movement dictates where you look and if you duck or not etc using motion sensors located on the sides of the console. Its a total Matrix rush as you literally lean back and down to dodge these slow flying bullets coming at you. Its GREAT! I got a little exhausted from moving around so much :wink: but otherwise had a blast.

The graphics are pretty much on par with your normal 3d enviro game. A little blocky but no clipping or glitches were noticable making for a smooth playing experience. Also, getting shot causes the screen to blur which is pretty much now Id expect my vision to react if I were to get shot so kudos there on that.

Ok, so its nothing great, but being able to Neo my way around bullets was just fun. Im definitely playing that one again when I go back there… though I must admit, the moving around like that makes the game. Without it, its just another normal shooter. None the less, the moving is FUN!

i played one of thems once. i didn’t do so well because i didn’t move much, fearing complete embarassment. i mean the arcade was full but for this one game and i thought it was mere move left and right and shoot, but when it told me to duck and jump i drew the line there. it was almost as worse as watching me attempt DDR.

I cant imagine that itd be worse than DDR haha… they had a “pump it up” (?) machine at the place I went… same thing as DDR and some of the less exp ppl looked pretty rediculous

hehe the gun games were in a dark corner so it was ok :slight_smile:

ohhh geez, i thougt you were in trouble and you could’ntr get to a phone, and we could call and say your address and get your local police to save you… too bad

i saw this other interactive arcade called “rave-rave revolution” and you could guess what you do. there are these two orb-y things that you swift your hand through, basically “raving” and there were some really good people there doing it, mostly asians though :-\
