Hey, I’ve been searching around for a tutorial or some ideas about how to make a map of the USA like this: http://www.flashden.net/files/25470/index.html
I’ll pull the data from XML, because I’ll want the state name to show up, and a few other bits of information in dynamic text boxes. So, I’d make a movie clip but I want it to resize itself depending on the length of the information, and I’d want the movie clip to have it’s own x and y coordinates depending on the state location, of course.
I would have to make 50 movieclips to rollover right? And what kind of code would I need to have the xml pull up when hovering over the state?

Actually now that I’ve looked at it longer, the menu follows the cursors, which changes the data once it “crosses state lines” mahah >.>; renegade!
