As I told you earlier I have joined this new company… One of the main reasons for joining it was that it is a big corporation like 2000 people versus the 10-20 people companies I have been working with.
As I spend more and more time here I am getting anxious that maybe I made the wrong choice… Let me explain a bit.
Lets say my company is like an IT Support company (i dont want to disclose it yet. ) where the technicians go and resolve problems. My team’s job is to make an application that helps in measuring data like response times, targets, attendance etc…
Now people don’t like to work… but they like to get paid anyways… So there are managers and supervisors and in charges and senior managers … the whole lot…
When those whose job is to control and manage things start shirking their job, we have a problem… The managers are evaluated based on thier teams performance and so they try to artificially inflate the data. When some kind of problems emerge due to this, they just look for the nearest scapegoat and blame it all on him.
In my view if this is not checked can lead to ruining of an otherwise good company. Clients will call the bluff and walk away and sooner than later the company will go bust.
My problem is that since I have just joined the company I cant leave it as that will not look good on the resume… On the positive side, the company is looking towards expansion and will open up more centers. In fact one is due before march.
any advice is appreciated…
