Hi I have an interface, and in the middle of it I have a window displaying external flash movies the thing is that some of these movies have quite a lot of text in them long with pictures, i need to be able to scroll down somehow, I can’t use a regular text box and a scroller, because the flash movies have pictures and animations in them, does anyone know how i could make a whole movie scrolll down??
scrollpane could be used. basically you put things in a mc, give it an instance and linkage. drag the scrollpane onto the stage and in the properties of the sp, add the name of the mc to ‘scroll content’. that’s the easy way i suppose.
hey thanks for your help, sorry i don’t know **** about flash, u have to explain it like I am a kid should i do that scroll content stuff in the actual flash movie or should i do it in the host flash movie?? Could u be a life saver and tell me how to do it in simple steps, i will worship you!!
you’re probably best off looking at the thread claudio posted. will look better that way. i was thinking put the external movies and text in their own scroll pane, then import that into the main movie. the scroll pane is a flash component. look on the right of the screen for it or go Ctrl+F7.
I looked at that post, it says create a movie clip symbol, how would i go about doing that?
either press F8 then draw inside it, or draw something then select it and then press F8. have u tried the flash tutorials? help>tutorials
