Should AI sound more certain than it is?

okay so i keep thinking about this like a ship computer in sci-fi — the voice is calm, the timing is perfect, and it never seems to hesitate. that feels great until it’s wrong, and then people may trust it a little too fast.

in real products, i’m seeing teams struggle with whether an assistant should sound confident, careful, or weirdly human when it’s unsure. has anyone here seen a voice or chat AI change how quickly people escalate, double-check, or ignore a bad answer?
