and I’m not a fan of mystery meat navs, but I really like the style, the monochrome aspect is really cool…

other than that… I liked the animation on the nav, just wasn’t expecting it was all…

I like it. As Rev says, it is a bit a mystery nav, but it’s pretty much obvious what you have to do… And I like black and white stuff anyway <b>Looks at footer etc as backup</b>

i’ll think of something else on the way home. For some reason, I get the best ideas when i’m not in front of my computer with Flash open.

Anywho, I think it needs more color, and I am not a fan of mystery meat navigation either, but I do love the effect of the words coming in… so I am kind of torn :-\

Usability would require you to let the user know where they are supposed to click. I like the rest. I am working on a “simplified” approach, much like yours, but I’m not ready to “whip it out” and show it… yet.

Ok, totally new direction.
I threw this splash page together in photoshop:

I’m thinking i’m gonna design my site similar to this style; using the colors and fades. Tell me what you guys think. Critique away.

that’s funny cause i started realizing that when i was working on it. surprisingly enough, i was working on a dell laptop. in a sense, i wanted to see if i could copy it.
