Skydiving - no parachute

That sounds crazy, but according to my physics teacher it is possible to survive a skydiving fall without a parachute. If a skydiver is landing near the edge of a hill and keeps hitting it and rolling, they will gradually slow down, and while break most of their bones, they survive. One of my friends told me that it has happened but I can’t find out who or if it anyone actually did it.
