NIAGARA FALLS, Ontario (AP) – A man survived a plunge over Niagara Falls with only the clothes on his back, witnesses said, the first person known to have done it without safety devices and lived.
thats what i am thinking too, he was so calm they said…and going in head first makes it seem so even more. still that must suck if it was, you jump offa niagra falls and still live…
That reminds me of a cruel ironic story I heard a while ago.
One winter, a man reportedly decided that he had enough of the world, and went to go commit suicide. He picked up his gun, placed it in his mouth and pulled the trigger. The gun did not go off. After repeated attempts, the man opened up the gun to find the firing pin was bent out of shape, thus not working. Next, he tried to hang himself from the roof of his house, which also failed because the rope broke, sending him crashing to the ground, breaking his legs. He was sent to hopsital. Shortly after arriving, he decided to try again. He grabbed some drugs off a counter and swallowed them all. They turned out to be lacitives, and he spent 4 hours in the bathroom. He was released from hospital and after healing, quickly tried again by jumping in front of traffic. He was hit, and bounced off the windshield and down a hill. At the bottom of this hill he found a bag, wich he filled with rocks, slung over his shoulder and headed for the nearest bridge. He jumped off and landed in the quickly moving river - only to be hoisted up by a boat about a minute later. The boat took him back to shore where he was rushed to the hospital. On his way, he contimplated his choice of killing himself, and decided that he was ment to live. He died about 5 minutes later after telling the person in ambulance. He died of hypothermia.
Which also reminds me of something I saw on tv
(The shot was taken by a small TV news crew who were on the streets.) Rush hour traffic. One man decided to venture accross the road during a green light, only to get hit - by an ambulance, whose driver and partner proptly jumped out, placed him in the back of the ambulance, turned around, and drove back to the hospital.
If you ask me thats cruel sick irony.
As for the niagra thing, no, its not the first time. Its the second, the first was a young boy.
