Small tools feel easier to trust

there’s something nice about software that knows exactly what it is. the big all-in-one apps always sound convenient until i open them and feel like i’m wandering through a mall with a thousand signs.

i’ve been noticing i trust the smaller stuff more, even when it has fewer features, because the intent is clearer. does anyone else end up preferring a tool that does one thing well over the shiny suite?

Nah I’m with you — I’ll take a tiny app with one screen over a “suite” where half the tabs feel like upsells. once a tool starts trying to be my notes + tasks + calendar + chat, I stop trusting it to do any of those reliably.
