Snowboarding...Can't Wait!

I’m going snowboarding on Saturday! Yay! Can’t wait.

Been there like 4 times, haven’t been there for avout 5 years tho. The’ve opened a new snow park since I last went so I really wanna try it (never probably been to a snow park as i’v only been boarding for like 3-4 years).

Anyone else keen on snowboarding?

Im a skier, though I like to do tricks/jumps and go down snowparks. I’d say im a skier with a snowboarde mentality:P

I used to ski, I started when I was like 8 but stopped doing it and took up snowboarding. It’s way cooler :stuck_out_tongue:

I snowboard, didn’t go much this season though.

took one lesson… first day of 5 at Magic Mountain in Vermont USA. Broke my wrist… I was pissed.

on the other hand, it looks like so much fun I’ll probebly go again eventually. :slight_smile:

nah, snowboarders are always sitting on their butts on the side of the mountain. I don’t think that’s cool. Skiing is way better:P

I have always wanted to learn snow boarding but I was told it is hard to learn if you know how to ski? Is it?

I haven’t skied in 3 years and snowboarding looks like a lot of fun; there is a small ski resort in my area and there are always snowboarders on the mountain.

I tried snowboarding once, it was really tuff to get a hang of. Now i wakeboard so I think if I went again I would do a lot better.

Pffttt, snowboarding is waaayyy cooler, skiing is for people over 40 :stuck_out_tongue:

Snowboarding is piss easy to pick up, I learnt it way faster than skiing. You just fall over alot :moustache

lol, you can do just as cool of tricks on skies as on snowboards, you just don’t see people doing them often. Grabs, spins, flips, iron crosses, etc.

@ kantaman - Yeah me neither, no snow in England, you can’t ski/board here. The closest for me is Scotland but it’s pretty crap up there compared to the Alps.

:lol: Tricks look N times better on skis. If you think skiing is for people over 40, wake up and rent some of Warren Miller’s latest films. (Journey and ColdFusion are both really good)

I saw the HD trailer for Higher Ground, looked pretty sweet. I just added those two to my Lovefilm list :wink:

I didn’t mean it literally lol, I started skiing when I was 8 and loved it until I got into snowboarding (well I still like it but much prefer snowboarding).

How cool is it Butters that you can go to another country for a weekend to ski?? I could go to Canada but it would cost a fortune and it would have to be longer than a weekend!!
