So regardless if you're using Flash 5, MX or 2004

I think it would be great if you could possibly share your standard techniques on setting up a Flash interface’s actionscript before actually applying designs, animations, and so on.

I think I tend to do things backwards…I start doing animations, adding color because I feel that I need to get my ideas across (especially if I’ve thought of some cool animation effect), however, it is the equivalent of painting the house red when the foundation of the house hasn’t even been built yet!

I know that making a preloader (necessary actionscript function) is one of the first things to do, but what else is necessary?

Basically I want to organize my production time so that way I can get the job done faster and efficiently. School is coming and I’m afraid my current project will run into my school time!!!
