Solve your Pop-Up Windows Easy!

Hey guys!

Just got a flash extension at Macromedia that will solve all
that ****ing problems when you want to make pop-up windows!

I will just leave here the url from the guys who design it.
But to download the extension you have to go to Macromedia Exchange
and look for the file.

but just for the record:
…someone on an earlier thread on this subject brought up the point that with the surge of popUp blocking going on today - one may not even want to use them anymore as too many people will be set to not allow them…

something to think about

In my opinion, usually when a designer wants a popup is when they haven’t worked out all of the useability issues. Good designs do not need popups. Granted, there are times they are needed, but 90% of the popups I see are not necessary.

Just my vent…

I hate it when I feel the designer is trying to control my world.

content popups are ok, infact they´re awesome coz they save us the reload, but ad popups and spam popups…grrrrr :bad:

Aaaagreed Guigo… conservative use of these would/could be kosher -
Yeah but would content popUps called from flash be immune to popUp-Blockers ? Do they only ‘read’ from the initial page … perhaps because they aren’t using Js from the display HTML (???)

No … I try to take the back streets and avoid the traffic …
if I get any on me - I clean up when I get home =)

I’m talking about the famous site popup… I’m so tired of seeing an HTML page popup a flash site. Just because the designer can’t figure out how to design a site within the parameters available, they feel they have to <i>control</i> my little chunk of life. Flash is scaleable… use it! Design with that in mind!

These ad popups have ruined it for everyone. Deal with it.
