So I just got off the phone with this guy that I quoted a 10 page site for and he’s blow away that my quote was over double of that of some other company. His company spends probably $50,000+ on print advertising every year and he says he can’t justify spending more than $1000 on a website. I mean really? I find this laughable. I have little doubt that he’s going for the cheaper guy and just stringing me along now. I’ve been in this situation enough times and I’m still dumbfounded that otherwise smart business people don’t recognise the value of having a solid web presence. In the likely event that this potential client goes with the cheaper guy I can’t wait to see what he produces. Is it just me or are the majority of people penny wise and dollar stupid?
