Songs Everyone Hates!

lol

that song is so annoying…

the most annoying songs are made by nsync etc…

in my view ofcourse. :stuck_out_tongue:

ya know what song sucks?
the new goldfish crackers song… i want the old one back
it used to be “I want the fishes cuz theyre soooo delicious… gotta go fishin… gotta go fishiiiin.”
now they have this new fangled crap… tear

i hate justin timberlake and his songs

How to have an acceptable musical taste:

  1. Pick the most obscure local band.
  2. Constantly praise said band. Anyone who has never heard of them is totally lame (TOTALLY).
  3. At the same time emphasize your irritability over popular music.
  4. Bonus points of one or two people on the forum has heard of them. Don’t worry - they will praise them because they want to be cool too.
  5. Minus points if a good majority of the board has heard of them and they are popular afterall - YOU SCREWED UP - go back to step one.

it was semisonic and the title was “closing time” …
i liked the piano part

come on reni… some of us really do have good reasons for disliking pop music… OTHER than it’s popular to do so.

I dont’ disagree with you… I just don’t want to be “grouped” for my own dislike of the stuff.

I don’t hate any music in particular. But give me any song and I can probebly find something wrong with it. My biggest gripe with pop music is not the lyrics which are usually about love, or lack there of, or the musical composition which is about as creative as $hit on a shingle… no my only real problem with the stuff is the over playing of it. I do not want to have to tune my radio every five seconds because 30 stations are all playing the same song at the same time. It’s tedious… PLAY SOME B SIDES! for John’s sake.

anyway… I don’t dislike pop music… I just hate any music which is repeated over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over (tedious isn’t it) and over and over and over and over etc etc etc.

Avril Lavigne : no thanks
Ketchup Song : turn it off!!
Cheeky Girls (or something) : kill it!

I can see what you are saying David - the radio can be the devil sometimes - I mean when I listen to it here at work you hear the same top 10 songs atleast 3 - 5 times in an 8 hour shift. I know they have to do it because not everyone listens to the radio for that great of an amount of time and everyone want’s to hear the popular song of the moment but it can really kill some songs for a lot of people.

I like to listen to the radio and to be honest I like a lot of the music I hear, I guess that’s why it’s called POPular music. But when I make mixed cd’s and such they are always of songs from albums that dont get any radio play (for the most part of course, there are some that are radio friendly that I love) and those are the songs that when people get into your car and hear are like “wow - this is good, I have never heard it before” I just want to say to them - maybe you should listen to the entire cd instead of the 3 tracks that you hear on the radio

I hate most radio stations.

We have this great rock station in Boston (WAAF) that has an excellent combination of hard rock, popular rock and classic rock.

Plus the DJ’s are a riot. You used to be able to get it online but they got yelled at by thier parent company.

That mega-super broadcasting demon called entercom.

I cant get it in my flourescent (sp?) hell hole bricked in cell of an office because of of the electromegnetic interference from our test labs downstairs.

i didnt read all the posts, so if Im repeating, shoot me.

i dislike pretty much every gino song… for a few exceptions.

and also, why is it that hardcore rockers are big babies? in their own little “group” they have a popular band. but the minute they go on mtv or whatever, they are selling out. how the hell do you expect these people to make money if they are just playing to a small audience?

i dont know if this has anything to do with the post, but i felt like sharing.

That is not quite true man.

I would certainly consider myself a “hardcore rocker” and I feel exactly the opposite.

For instance:

Staind

I saw countless Staind shows when they were playing the local scene in Worchester, MA. Way before they got signed. Once they did, thier label gave them enough dough to go out and produce a spectacular album (Dysfunction) which blew up and shot them onto the ozzfest tour. The rest is history.

GodSmack
Same deal, saw them play countless shows around haverill, got a record deal, produced thier first self-titled release - blew up - wound up on the Ozzfest bill, and are now making rediculios loot for every show, CD and t-shirt.

I say more power to them all.

Its the Punk rock crowd that whine “sell-out”

Because thier music is usually anti money anti corporation - anti everything but like skateboarding and music.

hahah this stuff is way to tough to generalize that’s for sure.

Regarding the post up there about “lifestyles of the rich and the famous”

That song was written before they got popular and probably even had some money, it’s that song that put them on the map. If you listen to the lyrics it’s pretty funny and sooooo true for the most part. If they do get rich and famous, I doubt they will be putting out a track that’s similar because it wouldnt be true. It’s just like Eminems first album, it was a different style because he was young, hungry, and didnt have anything. You listen to his stuff now it’s not about that kind of thing anymore. Sometimes what get’s you on top is not what will keep you there.

I agree with Fester - “more power to them all” - If they can make a good amount of money doing what the love, god bless em’ they are luckier than 90% of the people who go to work everyday to a job they hate.
