Heh, just did this simple site for my portfolio, and I KNOW it needs improving, I just need peoples opinions :slight_smile:

The splash page at the beginning will be changed, dont worry, it won’t be black when its done :confused: Black doesnt really go with blue, agreed?

its nice, smove and fast loading.

The interface is to simple
Maybe add sound
Cool menu buttons but try to make them extra cool (-:

I’m probably going to add graphics to the loading animations of each section, and I’m working on sounds, hehe :stuck_out_tongue:

Will try and improve the buttons though, any suggestions?

Ok here are the things I noticed:

  1. First off, why on earth does your site pop open in fullscreen chromeless and your site only takes up 1/4 of the screen? Normally people use fullscreen because they need the extra space, here you’re not even using all of it.

  2. As for the layout, what is the theme you’re going for? I don’t really understand what it’s suppose to be. If there is a certain theme then I suggest you build on it more instead of just having some random lines for a layout.

  3. Your content is all out of alignment, you have text scattered everywhere and there isn’t any kind of layout structure for them.

  4. Try using smaller text, there’s no need to have big bold text.

  5. I would work on your color scheme as well, there’s just too much blue going on so it looks unprofessional.

That’s basically it, good luck with the rest. =)

Hrmm, first off, its not supposed to be full screen, it should pop up in a 550x400 pixel borderless window, for some reason, some people get a full screen, but some people get what theyre supposed to… can’t think why, otherwise I would obviously fix it.

I think I’m going for a fading blue and white line theme? because there’s lots of them?This is only supposed to be a simple site for a few bits of information o_O :slight_smile:

Yeah I know the content is not structured, mainly becase it looked boring when it Was structured, but I’m working on that now, aswell as a better section title method (Contact, Portfolio, etc)

I was wandering, because I’m going for a blue color scheme, can you suggest a color which isn’t blue or white which I could work with? :slight_smile:

The reason why it’s poping up in fullscreen for some people is because chromeless windows aren’t supported after Interenet Explorer Service Pack 1.

Anyone that has upgraded will get the fullscreen.

As for a color that will go with blue, try using a 3 colors instead of 2. Try adding black to your blue and white color scheme.

Also using different values of the colors would help as well. Like using Dark Blue and Grey.

I know microbian came out with a patch, but it supposidly doesn’t work.

I think there’s a new chromeless method around somewhere, but I’m not sure about it, you’ll have to search around.
