Swift 3D - Hexagons

Hi Guys

I’m looking for some help.

I would like to have 3 hexagons on top of each other which can rotate either right or left (when i import to flash)

The idea is to have text on the hexagon faces and show the text change as the face rotates in flash.

I now have swift 3d and i’m having problems creating a hexagon that looks good when it rotates on to of another hexagon.

Please have a look at the attachment and you’ll see the type of hexagon i’m talking about.

If I can get one hexagon rotating to the right perfectly - i.e. not moving up or down, just horizontal - I can then export to flash and see if it looks ok if i copy another two underneath.

Has anyone else done this?

Thanks

I really cannot see where you are having problems. Just constrain the animation. View your hexagon from the top view. Set a key frame (animation button needs to be on). Now move a key frame out to lets say 30. Then while your object is selected in the top viewport. Use the rotate tool on the lower left (use a 45 degree increment constraint). It should move 4 times for a complete 360 rotation. No play your animation. It should only move on the constrained axis. Let me know if you need more help.
