dont complain about banners… its free test site ;-p
you could try and get the white outline of the “x” a little sharper, then it would fit better into the picture.
i think the navigation could work fine, depending on what else is on your mind
try and tweak the white bars a little tho, since they seem to get stuck if the cursor is moved to fast
overall a great start, looking forward for more :thumb:
the look of it is very basic, which can be good… the menu system is buggy and slow, the size of it gives you a fairly small amount of room for content. Should leave space for atleast 30 em’s of content space if all you’re going to be adding is text. Also it’s in Flash, which in my book is equal to a slow painful death.
I wrote out a plenty long disagreement with your statement, Krusader, but chose not to post it… Since it’s too offtopic.
Suffice to say, it’s a subject that somehow managed to generate alot of debate. I used to design near solely in Flash up until ca. v5. At that point I noticed how most sites (at that time) built in Flash has all the disgraces of usability. It could not be indexed by search motors, which is still does not efficiently do, lets users at the click of a button create gratuitous animations and loud irritating music all over their site.
Since then Flash has been improved a good deal, but it does not change my opinion as a web designer that Flash has done this web a much greater evil than it has good.
(You’ll have to excuse me if I typed out doubled words, unfinished sentences, or anything like that… it’s 4 in the morning, and I’m spent)
hmm, well if you put it that way i guess i have to agree with you, but i still like flash, at least when its done well (although the search engine problem is a very good point, i always forget that)
