I actually rather like it. The background image is a good picture to start with, and I’ve always been a fan of grainy black and white scapes. It’s pieced together well. I like the colour picked out in the eyes of the face too (that picture looks like Russell Crowe, you know) and carried on at the bottom bar. You could probably even make that image a little scratched up as well, to go with the background.
The only two things I would comment on would be the pixellated jawline, which I’m not sure about and the blurred image when you rollover Portfolio. I think I personally would prefer to see a sharper edge to the jaw, the pixel look doesn’t quite blend in as well. And the rollover blur was like, ‘whoa, what’s going on there?’
Overall though, I definitely like this.
You should set the style of your links (ie ASP Art HTML FLash or whatever) in the same sytle of your splash page - the style os the ASP page for example is a bit bland…

The pixelated jawline…may go…I did it as an artsy…man/machine theme…but it catches my eye on every load…
