i know that there are some obvious reasons for this, but i’d still like to ask…
why is there more traffic on the flash mx and actionscript forums than on flash 5 forum?..
i use flash 5… so i naturally post questions in that forum… yet when i look at the response count and where people are currently, i find that they are everywhere but…
i don’t have flash mx questions… but the questions i do have tend to take awhile to generate answers… it is very apparent i am in the midst of professionals… and that’s why i’m here… but if my questions will go unheard because i don’t have flash mx… then it seems i’m better off elsewhere… i am in no way trying to be disrespectful or rude… it’s just something i have noticed and it has rather stung a little to know that there are some very educated people who would have a variety of questions, comments, and opinions concerning the questions i have… but i don’t have flash mx… so they never see them or they don’t care to post in the flash 5 forum…
for those of my peers here, who have diligently posted replys and answers, i am greatful… you have helped beyond measure…
i thank everyone who reads this for reading it as it was intended… and not as some sort of an attack…
A lot of times people won’t understand your questoin and they don’t bother to post. Sometimes people don’t know the answer. More poeple have questions with Flash MX because it is becoming more popular in the market. More people are going to be spending their time there. When I am on the forum, I look at all the threads and see if there are questions that I can answer. If I can answer them, or I have the time, I answer them. If not then I pass them off. People will get to your question and we get to them a lot faster than most of the other forums, patience is a necessity.
thank you jubba, and rev… i appreciate the responses…
jubba i’m a rather patient fellow, so that is understood… i just decided to take a little time out and see where people spent most of their time and energy in posting…
Hey Oasis. I used to make it a personal mission to help out specificaly in the 5.0 forum. I’m pretty good with that version, and have helped a lot of people, but I’ve been extremely negligent over the last several months in my self apointed duties. I’m feeling more and more like doing Flash work though so give me a couple of weeks and I should be in there a lot more often… at least I’ll try to be. I’m using MX now, but there is still so much of 5.0 in MX that it’s hardly a problem reinforcing my knowledge of that version.
Peace
