I took these comments quite seriously. Narutoboy never said that my site was the coolest thing every happended to the web and Unreal Designs produce the best templates that no one can beat. He said that it was a cool site.
To be honest, Iām quite shocked what the moderators had to say.
āI moved it cause itās not a cool site :lol:, or have cool contentā. :lol: whatās even more funny is that in his FAQ he says that itās a one man show, but he continually says āweā. āAndā¦ well basicallyā¦ you get what you pay forā¦ bottom dollar designs and coding for bottom dollar.ā
I believe that my work is quite skillfully done. I respect everyone work on the web and would like you all to respect mine. If you donāt like my work, give constructive criticism, not just a sentece filled with profanities.
Once agains several more posts [COLOR=Black]by simplistik t[/COLOR]ried to prove that I was a very bad designer. And for that reason my prices are so low. Several more people supported him. Once again, I can not repeat this enough. It is a hobby. My service is not intended to produce professional sites.

Well first, I moved the thread he asked why, and I gave the reason. The purpose of the Kool Sites section is to post sites that are designed or coded exceptionally well, OR have exceptional content. Iām not the end word in the decision, but it was clear that it doesnāt hold those qualities. And while I donāt believe those prerequisites are written down as a necessity, many site b4 yours have been moved for similar reasons, and givin similar reasons as to why it was moved.
And not to start anything up againā¦ but I didnāt try to prove anything. I gave my open opinion as to what I thought of the site and the work presented on the site. THE only reason that naurtoboy decided to single me out is because I have mod status. However, no one followed my lead, they made their own judgements based off of what they saw. My mod status has absolutely nothing to do with my opinions of a design or a site. Nor should it put me on some unjust pedistal, in which ppl think that I must always put on a smile. Iāve givin many critiques on this forumā¦ some very harsh, some notā¦ thatās my style, and I feel thatās how it should be done, and Iām not gonna change that because of my mod status. Now while I didnāt give an appropriate contructive critique of the site or the work, it was only due to the fact that a critique wasnāt really asked. It was moved into S&C for the showcases part of the thread name. I wasnāt modded under the the agreement that I change the way I am or act, that would be unfair to me and the community.
When you put up a website open for the public, itās open game for a public critique, good and/or bad. When I put my site up, and some other forum doesnāt like it, which may very well happen, iām not going to go into that forum and then chastize the people negative comments. While I may defend myself, my work is put out there for the good and the bad comments, you canāt have one and not the other. I wonāt challenge the quality of their work compared to mine, everyone is entitled to their opinions. When a movie is released movie critics donāt ask for permission to say things about the movie.
You openly admit that your work in your portfolio isnāt your strongest piecesā¦ well how are we to ājudgeā you properly when yourself are admiting the work that is presented is subpar by your own standards. But as far as we knew then, that was your best.
I donāt apologize for what I said, nor do I feel I should have to (and I know you didnāt ask me to). But do not categorize ALL mods under one category based off of the action of one, which would be me in this case. I wouldāve said the same things regaurdless of my status here in the forum.
And Iām moving this thread out of kool sitesā¦ because this topic doesnāt have a kool site on itā¦ or a site w/ kool content in it and merging w/ the previous thread, any other comments can be directed towards me, but please try to keep your PM civil.
