Hi there!
I am experimenting with video in flash mx.
I’ve first tried with a 90 sec. video of mine that took ages to be imported(reducing quality of 50%).
When it came to export the whole flash movie it nearly crashed my machine!
I then tried with a smaller video(45 sec) again reducing quality.
It worked better, still takes long time to export as swf.
The problem now is that the video and its audio are totally out of sinc!(I’ve built two simple play and stop buttons with some actionscript).
I mention that i am using the video inside a movie clip.
If anyone can give me some tips it’ll be great.
Cheers…
first of all in what format are you importing into flash? if you use a flv im sure you wont run into problems since its allready flash ready
They are quicktime files…
Mov files will render your pc useless especially if theyre uncompressed or at very high quality my suggestion is get the flv exporter and once you install it use Quicltime Pro (not sure if regular quictime can do this) and export the mov as a flv file and it will be in flash video format then import the flv file into flash im sure you will have a nice quality and small sized movie
Thanks for that.
What about using Cleaner to compress the movies but still using the quicktime format?
dont know never tried it since i dont have cleaner, but you can use cleaner and then use quicktime and export the mov as a FLV file with the cleaner exported settings so it will compress even more
