Vista and Sapphire HD2600XT problem

Okay now this is quite frustrating as i spent all of last night until 3am in the morning trying to figure out what is happening…

I normally run Windows XP which came with my pc waaay back. My mom and i agreed on just upgrading to vista after she lost the xp installation cd and we bought vista 2 days ago.

I installed it on my mothers pc, worked like a charm!

came home to myself here and installed… then i installed the drivers for my new video card Sapphire ATI HD2600XT and BOOM, blue screen… i can’t start up vista at all, and i can only run safe mode to find out driver is doing an infinite loop of some sort and well, i haven’t been able to get past this. I tried all drivers i could find on the net, older catalyst drivers etc… But all i get is a blue screen and a liveKernelEvent error and it reboots to safemode.

It’s frustrating since i just spent money on a new card, and i really do not want to buy another cause of vista… i should’ve been ready, running vista and everything now, but i’ve spent most of today aswell figuring this out…

If anyone knows ANYTHING regarding this problem please help me out here as i’m about to literally kill kittens of a special cute breed…

i just want the f****** thing running. and hopefully by tonight…
