As I drove to work the other day, I was fortunate enough to catch the morning bus traffic (which I will attempt to avoid for now on). In doing so, I got to see a bunch of pathetic, mindless (especially at that hour) kids waiting for their busses at the end of their driveways. I started thinking, what a waste of my life that was!
I can’t think of how much of my life I spent out there waiting for that friggen bus. It’s especially rough when you’re alone… and I had to be for a couple of years, but not all.
What do you do? You just stand there and think… “Whens the bus coming? Is this it?!? No, just a car… Is this? No, another car. Whens the bus coming?” It’s not like you can really do much productive thinking being as tired as you are; all concentration revolves around trying to remember to step up on to the bus when it finally comes.
And how accurate are the bus drivers? Here on time one day, here 15 min late another and here 10 min early yet another! Better make sure you get out there at a time where you can potentially be there for any circumstance.
So, being alone waiting for the bus is pathetic. Its not fun and its a waste of your life. When you have people to wait with, its ok, and can even be fun. So, why then do you have these retarded kids who sit out in front of their driveways waiting for the bus to come when 2 houses over theres another person (or more) doing the same thing? Would it kill you to walk another 20 feet? Not only will you get some company but you wont force the bus driver to stop every 6 seconds (something I especially hate now as I am now one of the people driving behind the bus).
Ok, so this kind of became a rant… heh. I was just remembering how lame it was to have to wait for the bus back when I was in school. Hopefully we’ll have teleporters invented in time for my kids.
“Bobby! You’re late for school!”
“Sorry dad! - Beam me up Ms. Patterson”
“Darnit, he forgot his lunch again. beams”
