The enter portfolio button has a tiny hit state… doesnt match the box. I like the layout a lot, it works well with the colour, but looks a bit bare in parts. The intro part with the swooshy boxes would be perfect if it was a little faster. Any reason why there is an 03 in the corner? it looks good, but the reason for it is a little unclear to me. Overall, i like.

Ill take that onboard. which parts does it look bare? The three is there to represent the year, looks plan without it?

So do you mean speed up the coming in of the swishes or…

I mean to speed up where it says ‘flash detected’ with the dashes (//) and then again when they swoosh to reveal the buttons. Its fairly plain which is not a bad thing, but looks a bit boring if it swooshes around long enough for the user to notice that it looks plain.

What i mean by plain is there is not much going on in the background… maybe a little too simple. i think just a band of colour like a different shade of blue somewhere would liven it up a bit. This is probably just a personal thing though, feel free to ignore it!

And about the 03, if it was me, id put in the month underneath aswell just to clarify it.

kinda thing. I imagine the sides of august to be justified with the sieds of the 03. I may be the only person who didnt realise what it was for though, you may not need to.

I guessed the 03 was for 2003…I think you needa boost the fps. A little slow :-\ I’m really impatient :stuck_out_tongue: And the quit thing is a bit annoying you have to re-show the intro thing. Its pretty good but don’t ppl usually have words saying something like:

this is ben smiths site he is a designer blah blah blah?!?!

How do people know if they need a flash plugin if they can’t see the splash page (because you need flash player installed in oreder to see), change it to HTML otherwise theres no point. The text on your site is quite blurred, maybe if you experimented with pixel fonts or clearer anti alias fonts. The work you have done for various people is good but I don’t think your site lives up to the same standard as your work. Experiment with different animations and rollovers.
