Webcam for viewing any place on a computer

Hi,
I would like to know how can I install a webcam and view it from another place (web page).

The camara is located at a restaurant and I would like to be able to view it at home. Any ideas on how it´s done?

is there any software that came with the camera?

I´ve been searching over the internet and found that actually you need a program.
I found this link where you can download some programs, some are free but I have never tested them.

i have a Creative camera. i used to use a program called teveo, but recently they started to charge money, so i got out as fast as i could. if you have microsoft netmeeting, that will work if you only want to connect to one person.

i heared that earthcam.com works good. but i have never used it.
