Webdesign battle - css

A few webdesign battles were planned lately and none of them came to an end so I though I’d try to start one up.
Here’s what I had in mind:
Theme: coffee company (but open to any suggestions)
Html will be provided for the page, with all the elements you might need for a page (+ a .css refference)
The design will be your choice.
Rule: you are not allowed to change the html at all. You will have to implement the design through .css.

ditto are you settled in your new home? I would like to take part in this new contest. It is very difficult for me not having had a great experience in css. I came up with the concept of advertising coffee in the style of an advert in a nineteen fifties comic rather than doing it in a traditional fashion such as getting pics of coffee beans, coffee jars etc and using them in the design. - is this ok? I did a screen shot of what I have come up with so far - but the css is real difficult for me to be honest - only being a begginer. Would this sort of design be ok for your competition?

Ok here goes. the css is no doubt terrible as i am only just starting to learn but i suppose you get the general idea :slight_smile:
