this is my new site design and I was hoping you could give me some feedback

as you can see not all the pages have content and on the right hand side of the pages I plan to place an advert for…someone (not sure who yet)

also plan to add some more images to the other pages but feedback is grateful, particulary on the flash headers…thanks :thumb:

hmmm im not sure on this one. i do like it overall, the header is great. but it feels a bit faceless…maybe it wont with more content

i wouldnt remeber it. it feels corporate but i guess this is needed to get work.

if its purely professional site then i think there is too much in ‘about you’

say i wanted to see ure qualifications quickly, i have to read thru a lot.

its hard cos its one of those where there is nothing technically wrong, but it doesnt get me going… but im not a corporate…

well, i’m not with billy on this one, i like it a lot, and to be honest, i like it way better than your original one, it was kinda too blue-ish imo :slight_smile: only one thing i wanna add: i don’t really like those dotted lines you use, have you already tried putting solid lines there?

Looks are really nice, and love the header

I would recommend putting a predloader on the flash though, I have an ok-ish connection and even then there it remains blank before the animation appears

I agree with billy here, you need to decide whether your going for the more proffesional or personal feel.

probably should have said this is an attempt to get clients of my own and I’m going keep my portfolio site seperate

I’ll reduce the amount of content in the about me page but this is hopefully the start of a small business :beam:

**ruff: **Yeah I tried the solid lines but I didn’t like them. Thought the dots were a better way to go, makes the site a bit easier to read and cleaner…I think

Well you should do more of your headers; the simple panning stuff is quite useless; use that space to show your Flash skills; add some mouse interactivity, use masks, something that you don’t see on every flash site…

The fact that the color theme changes for each section is a bit disturbing too; couldn’t use a frame on top and a frame on the bottom and make only the bottom part change (here’s the latest site I did with it; it’s in french but should be easy to navigate with: menu’s on the top frame: http://www.shiver.online.fr )…

And it lacks a little formatting for example in the ‘about robert’ section, you could jazz up your text a little; I dunno, add some pics, bolden up some text…

Loading time is great though… overall I give it 7 out of 10 points =)

to be completly honest, I kind of like it…which doesn’t fill me with comfort about launching the site and looking for clients. I should feel more about it than “kind” of like it.

think I’ll go back to the drawing board but I’ll keep this around for clients who may like it.

to be honest I don’t really like it…

the flash is unexciting and normal, content layout will be boring and plain and although I like the images I’ve found and the toolbar, theres not much else I do like…was hoping everyone would love it and prove me to be wrong but I’m not that confident with this design

happily, I’ll go back to the drawing board
