Why were they trying to get in?

Just call Comcast and ask them about it. I don’t think this is anything too bad :ninja:

well yes it is bad it seems you ahve exceeded your download limit call them and ask them if they are monitoring how much stuff you download in a month and ask them if they have a monthly bandwidth limit most companies do, just ask and if they say yes ask them why didnt they orient you about the limit (seems you have not been oriented) and if he gets ify cancel and get a cable provider that doesnt have limits on your monthly bandwidth gotta read more guys with all the $hit going on theses days you never know

i havent downloaded any music or anything. I dont have any type of illigal file swapping software any more. I havent for ages. could this mean down loading web sites etc…

well if youre sure you aint downloading stuffSIZE=1warez,mp3s, movies or games(cough)[/SIZE] i suggest you give your isp a call thats what they pay tech support for to give support Alex ever heard of them???

i have been downloading music videos forom MTV.com. but thats probably not the problem.

DUDE CALL COMCAST!!..

im going to call them this weekend. (im to busy + lazy)

hopefully this will get cleared up and when it does, i will post what happens.

Dude… it’s xonealarm… You block out more thnigs than you’ll ever know… Don’t sweat it.

doesn’t all these isp company’s block port 80?

Some may… Some may not… it’s crazy stuff man… Anyone will say anything and do anything and then turn their backs on their word… So you never know what happens.

They are most likely trying to see if you are hosting a website from your cable connection, which is against their TOS. Port 80 is the TCP port that HTML uses. So if you don’t have a web server running on your PC dont worry about it. =) If I typed in http://your_ip_address_here you would get a message that I had been blocked on port 80 as well.

Cheers!

Well, if you’re contacted from many different companies it is probably an intruder. Call comcast anyways though.
