sorry…i haven’t checked this post in a while.
i do work out 6 days a week…sometimes i think i have a disorder about it. it’s hard enough for me to take one day off. if you notice though, i only lift weights 4 days a week…and only hit the major muscle groups one time a week (well squat days are kind of all out strength building day). i don’t think 6 days a week is that odd??? most of the time bodybuilders don’t show their cardio in their workout schedules…a lot of them do cardio more than twice a week and lift in the morning and afternoon.
as for my training splits…this is a routine that i came up with and seems to work for me. i try to pick muscle groups that are really different…like biceps and hamstrings. that way, i can go balls-to-the-wall on both of them w/o worry of fatiguing the smaller muscle group (exception: chest/triceps day…i have to do chest first, then triceps).
i’m 19 years old and i started seriously working out when i was 12…so i’ve been working out for 7 years (lifting for about 4).
i’ve had a subscription to men’s health before…i thought it focused on too many things besides working out (guy’s health!). I’ve had a subscription to Muscle & Fitness for several years now and I really like it…Flex seems to be geared to hardcore bodybuilders.
