I need all my bodyparts
Exercise
dont eat and die, there ya go, 400 pounds less !
i say just eat healty food… and go for a jogging-walk every evening
half all the food you eat. eat a breakfast every day. not too much not too little. eat carbs in the morning (breads, etc.) and protein in the afternoons (eggs, meat, etc). don’t eat too late or before going to bed. also, instead of unhealthy snacks like chocolate, candy, etc. eat fruits or vegetables or nuts (be careful on the nut quanitites, also loaded with calories).
of course, exercise every day and drink at least 8 glasses of water. if you exercise heavily, drink more than 8 glasses. limit coffee/tea to one cup a day (they dehydrate the body). usually a good rule of thumb is when you drink a cup of coffee, soda, tea, alcohol, drink a glass of water for every cup. it replenishes the liquids in your body.
also, alcohol is LOADED with calories, so be careful if you do drink.
thx pinx
I think the fastest way to lose weight would be to go into space. You’ll lose like all your weight. =)
hehe

That’s what they taught us in Nutrition Class…
yup, I agree… less calories + more exercise = weight loss…
Rev
oh and i forgot to mention…when you exercise try to do at least 30 minutes of aerobic exercise EVERY day. this is not weight lifting, it’s riding your bike, running, walking, something to get your heart pumping.
then three times a week, or more if you want, lift weights and do muscle strenghtening.
they taught us that anything under 20 minutes of continued exercise was virtually useless, unless extremely cardio intensive…
30 minutes for women…

it worked for me and it’s still working. i started working out one month and 20 days ago ago. i weighed myself after a month and i was 7 pounds lighter and dropped a dress size. i haven’t weighed myself this month but i’m sure i lost more weight, cause my pants are really loose.
is there a way to speed it up?
Hey Eilsoe…
We had a similar discussion last week…
Check these out bro
I put this low carb diet up for sureshot last week

Here are some good workout ideas in this thread too
Here’s my little success story.
I need to lose a few pounds and in 2 and a half weeks I have lost 12 pounds All I have done is cut down what I eat, and making sure not too eat anything too bad. It’s all about moderation. I eat like 5 or 6 times a day but I have very small meals each time. This way your metabolisim is constantly working. One thing I have done is cut down on the carbs I eat. If I have a bowl of cereal in the morning than I dont eat a sandwich for lunch and visa versa. It’s worked great so far. I am also excercising about 4 times a week with cardio each of those days. I recommend the cross trainer - very low impact and very effective.
Also, if you want to work out - work out BEFORE you do your cardio. (well do about 5 min of warm up and then work out) the reason for this is your body will burn your carbs while you are lifting weights as your muscles tear and rebuild and you of course need the energy. Then go to the bike and since you have worked through a lot of carbs your body should be on to the fat. That’s what the trainer at the gym told me
Good luck!
well you can speed it up by not eating and doing only exercise. but somehow, i don’t think that’s very good for you.
the healthiest way to lose weight is to lose up to 2 pounds per week. that’s the limit. if you do more than that, you’re losing weight in an unhealthy way. you’ll just be really hungry after a while, you’ll go into an eating rampage and will put on even more weight, INSTEAD of losing it.
if you lose weight the way i told you, it will stay off if you keep it up and you’ll be unlikely to gain it all back after a month. it’s a lifestyle, just think of it that way.

yeah i’ve heard that works too. i HAVE to have carbs in the morning, or my blood sugar level goes down really low and i keep making up for it all day and eat twice the calories i normally would.
Pinx - I think mine has come off so quick cause I have a few extra that werent supposed to be there. I know it’s going to slow down - and thats cool with me.
Just make sure to always eat and never starve yourself. Pinx is right - you will always gain weight if you do it this way because when you “Yo Yo” back up, the weight comes twice as fast and twice as easy.
the key is in breakfast. if you eat a balanced breakfast, it will pay off. eat a bagel or cereal (some kind of bread) for the carbs, and try and eat a piece of fruit. milk doesn’t hurt either (lowfat though).
this way, you won’t be starving till lunch and can get a normal portion for lunch, instead of a huge one.
elisoe,
just remember: one pound=3,500 calories
so if you want to lose one pound in a week, you need to expend an extra 3,500 calories. or you can expend some of them, and cut some of them out of your food.
