When did it become socially acceptable

Cool. How is the internet in London? I’ve heard it is the pits…

How is the internet?!? :q: Ticking over nicely I think… :stuck_out_tongue:

Or do you mean the Tube?

Like, what are you options? Is broadband available and if so how expensive?

Oh right…

Yeah, we have broadband over here in the sticks. I’m on it now, in fact. The cost depends on the connection. A 2Mb pipe is about £50 a month, whereas my 1MB is £35 a month.

ohh that isn’t bad. I thought it would had been more expensive than that.

BTW, what is the sticks?! I’m not from England nor have I ever been there so I don’t know all the lingo.

Mine’s a little cheaper than usual because I get my phone and TV services through the same company (Telewest).

It means “out in the middle of nowhere” and is just me being very English again. I have a tendency to say things and every non-English person in the forums goes “What? Eh?” :stuck_out_tongue:

haha cool. I heard phone service is like rapage!

Now it’s my turn to go “What? Eh?”

Rapage?

Like, you get bent over and well bite pillows because the phone service costs so much there. That is what I heard anyways.

Ah… It can be a little extortionate, especially if (like me) you don’t use the phone much. They’ll charge $15 a month just for the line, plus calls. And last month I made a grand total of no calls. But people phone me a lot, so I need it. :sigh:
