AI keeps getting better at removing little bits of friction, and that part is genuinely useful. But in a lot of teams, those small steps are where people notice something is off.
I’m wondering where others have seen that tradeoff show up in real work. What part of your workflow do you not want AI to smooth away?
The part I don’t want smoothed away is the “explain it back to me” step before I ship something — like when I write a short note in the PR description about what changed and why.
