So in High School I was in the Civil War Band. I graduated last year and was invited to join the Civil War band my high school director is in. Being a major in Computer Science I haven’t really played for the last year. It was very nerve racking trying to play songs filled with random sixteenth note runs with two music majors watching me and one of them being the person that my Dad had when he was in chorus ( like 40 years ago ). It wasn’t really an audition, but I was afraid of what they would think. The worst part is that they haven’t told me. The only things that were said were that there were a few good cut offs and we made it through one song sight-reading the entire thing. Now I have a bajillion songs to learn for next Thursday.
