Ive been making websites for only 6 months. The last 2 sites Ive built I have made wide-screen, in order to first; resolve the problem of viewers all having different resolutions. But secondy because I think its looks good.

Does anyone know why? Is it a performance, platform or technical thing? if so what exactly? …or is it simply down to aesthetics and taste?
