Okay, wasn’t sure if this is the best place to put this, since it’s not really a site check… I haven’t gotten that far yet…
I’m planning on remaking my BahamutSoft site… I was never really very happy with the way it turned out, and I kind of left it that way, since I was in a hurry to put something, anything, up. I’ve been working on a new logo, which has it’s own thread: Here
So, what I’m looking for now, are some general ideas for changing my site. Here are some of the things I’ve thought about thus far:
[]I do like the color-scheme that I’ve come up with, but I’m not willing to die for it. If anyone thinks it needs to go, it’ll go.
[]I want to make the site look as clean, and professional as possible, but not be overpowering, like so many other designer’s sites are now… I want to keep away from having a lot of flash, except, perhaps, something like what Kirupa has: Some Flash menus, and things, but a majority of the site in HTML.
[]I don’t see any need for using PHP, or anything Dynamic, since the site isn’t going to be changed a whole lot, and my host would charge me an arm and a leg for it.
[]I’m going to plan on creating a submission form, so that I can have possible clients send me info straight from the site, so that has to be accessable from any page.
Now, you may be thinking: “Why does he want our opinions, if he’s supposed to be doing web-design?!”, and the answer is simply that I seem to be able to work better, and come up with better work if someone explains what their looking for - I can build from it. Making up something for myself, is a different matter… I just can’t think of what will be a nice look for my identity, where as I can come up with things at the spur of the moment for other people’s sites…
Any ideas/suggestions/anything is greatly appreciated… :beam:
