Tomorrow is the three year anniversary of 9/11. Today, I received a DVD called ‘Up From Zero’ from the US Department of Labor. I was unable to find the original thread on the DVD, so I think it’d be approporiate to make one more. The DVD is avaliable from www.dol.gov. I just finished watching the DVD, it tells the story of construction workers of the towers and is truly a powerful movie.
I had a friend who died on 9/11 and I am so ****ing tired of hearing people talk about it. Yippy, 9/11, 9.11, september 11th… blah blah blah. It sucks to have some person trying to be partiot remind me of all the heart pain it caused.
Sorry if that came off badly. I didn’t mean to sound like I was attacking you.
they announced it over the pa at school and the bell rung before the moment of silence could be done
-off topic-
no problem man its ok for you to get angry if you lost someone you know and everyone keeps reminding you of it
Let’s not forget our loss.
And at the same time remember today is Patriot Day - through all the elections and differences, we are still American.
Take pride in your country and celebrate our nation today as we remember our losses not just on 9/11 but at any time, and celebrate that we’ve been able to pick ourselves up and keep striving on.
I went to a football game today and was surprised that they didn’t take a moment of silence, or even recognition that today was in fact the 3-year anniversary of the tragedy. :-/
@nuglobe man im so sorry. i know what its like one of my friends cousin died there and shes never been the same. sorry man. keep going strong dude.
Forgetting is the first step to having it happen again.
