3D Art and Flash MX

Ok, here’s my question of the day. I am into Bryce, and create 3D art. Bryce is an amazing program for such stuff, and animation can be done with it as well. But Flash is THE tool for animation - no explanation needed. Basically, I want to know whether I can
“transport” images from Bryce, and animate them in Flash. For instance, if I have a face (3D, of course), would I be able to make the eyes wink and so on?

Also, can Flash create 3D images(and animation) as well?

I’ll appreciate any help from you guys. Thanks a bunch!

If you are that good of an artist in Flash… you can make Flash do anything.

But right off the bat, Flash cannot create 3D objects and you can import Photos from Bryce into Flash, but you can’t animate each and every part of the image. It will import as a solid image.

I am not exactly how Bryce can export, but if it can export as a .swf file it might keep your layers and such in tack, allowing you to manipulate each layer seperately, but other than that… I don’t think you can.

Wie geht’s?! Well, well, well. I’ll keep trying to integrate Bryce art with Flash. Hopefully that works out well. On the other hand, how would I go about creating a grid as a background? For instance, black background with green lines as the grid? I mean other than having to draw lines mechanically, is there any other way?

You could use AS and the drawing API, but that seems hardly worth it.

Or you can import an image from Photoshop. You can create a grid in a snap with Patterns in Photoshop.

Being into 3dsmax I’m pretty sure that you can’t edit things from 3d in Flash. After all, they are completely different themed programs. However, again, if you’re skilled enough you can draw a fake eye or something. There is one possible way to get things in 3d to animate in Flash though.

If you get swift3d the program, it has a plugin for 3dsmax and you can then import your images into swift3d and make animations (rotation and such, not too complex) that can be exported as flash files.
