ok i have to bump this as there was no reply… im more amazed that laslett went to all the trouble to snare this guy than the scam!!

Hilarious…

sort of on subject. About 10+ years ago, I was rooming with a friend of mine. We loved NHL Hockey and were playing a season one day when a telamarketer called. He took the phone call, listened for several minutes and then told the gentleman that he would love to know more. Then he set down the phone. We could hear him talking and every time he took a pause, Joe would say, “hmm sounds interesting,” or “could you elaborate on that?” or something to that effect. Just stringing the guy on like this we waisted 2 hours of the guys time.

Feel kind of bad about it now, considering the guy was just trying to make a living, but this was just about the time of the massive influx of telemarketers on the scene and we were getting pretty annoyed with the number of usless phone calls we would get in an evening.

i don’t think it was laslett who did that… he said a journalist from silicon.com.
