Normally people do pixelart in MSpaint or some other pixel art program out there. Most of the people try to avoid photoshop, but I just don’t know why.
Once, I’m tired of clicking the shade for my desk and chair, I started to put into photoshop using blurred, burnt doing the shading…before saving to gifs in “save for web”, change the perceptual into restrictive, and hey!!!..those shading are all colored in pixels instead of plain blur and burnt colors. Also, you can change the pixel in a diffusion, pattern and noise layout.
Clicking pixel by pixel wll took me around 6 hours to complete the shade, while photoshop can just done in 30 minutes. And it also have the pixelated effect that everybody wants and it also does excellent shading too(Well, you still have to click one by one for the outlines and have to edit a bit for the shading)
But…I wonder if that is consider as a pixel art or not? Since is not really 100% built point and click pixel by pixel. And Is a bit cheating I know but who cares? It does better job and more efficient.
