This was created for a panel in a cd layout I’m doing. I can’t get
over how nice it turned out, so I thought I’d share and see what
you thought.

How did you do the text?
the text is a scan the actual paper he’s writing on, then I inverted
it and overlayed. Adjusted it from there…
Easy, but keeps the piece authentic. =)
it gets to dark to read on the left now that i look…
supposed to be that way

Not a big fan of the cowboy hat… :shudder:
The theme itself is good though, shows a lot of emotion. An excellent touch of inverting the scanned paper and setting it to overlay, when you look you actually do see the exact scratch marks on the paper he is writing on.
The out of focus look is a nice touch for this, it draws more attention to the text.
haha the hat is a bit much i admit, but it fits his music and the
genre we’r going for with the cd layout. It’s more of a souther-rock
genre than country. Although some of the songs he wrote have a
country-rock feel. Either way,
I’m so glad you picked the word emotion to use with this. It’s
exactly what I feel looking at it, and not very often does it come
out how it was in my mind. The song it represents is also a big
key to this for me because I really love the song. I was trying to
create teh same power in this image as the song. I hope it
worked. fingers crossed
