5-10 years from now, I’m hoping to have the freedom to decide when I want to work, to be able to work my *** off when i need money and then be able to not work and possibly travel for 3-6 months at a time, then taking on jobs again whenever i want/need money. I know, “doesn’t everybody want that?”, but I wouldn’t mind having a low income and living cheaply to make it work… still, is this viable or a pathetically unrealistic pipe dream?
My interests lie in programming, math, and physics, and I would probably enjoy doing anything from designing apps or webpages, to making models of stuff in AutoCad (or other program where you make 3D models/simulations of things), to working with my hands fixing/building machinery. If anyone could list any careers they could think of where one sets their own hours and that even remotely involve using computers or mathematics (or alternatively if you want to say “keep dreaming, dumb-***, it’s hard to find work like that”), I’d appreciate it a lot. TIA
