I don’t know if there’s a difference or not because I’ve never used 3D Max.
Thanks Edwin. =)
Hi EG!
Ok. I think this software is not popular here. People use only 3D Max and Maya. Anyway, keep posting your work!
i think 2 or 3 ppl here use C4d, Hojo, EG, and Bull_dog. i use max. the majority seems to favor Max and Maya, but i know of one person that is using Lightwave.

i use cd4 too =) … thanks to eg. he said it was cool so i bought it :P
ps. he was right ;)
i didnt know that. ok so 4 ppl lol.
i’d prefer maya but its really really expensive. only reason i got c4d was a student copy from school.
c4ds just a simple version of maya, they made it to be a clone so they could sell it for cheaper and help people learn maya threw it
really? wow…i didnt know that…very cool, but now you can get the learning edition of maya, but it has those ugly watermarks
yeah, watermarks are a pain. you can get around them by rendering and taking a screen shot (not that i have done it or anything)
lol…or you could use a more…illigal way…
hey E.G great rendering, have you ever tried to use HDR images to add realistic reflections ??? It’s a real pain in the ***** for the rendering time but it is * unbelievably * impressive…
Check out maxon’s renders:
