Hey mdipi
Am I that one lightwave user you know??
No one like lightwave but me:x
Well, since it took me about 3 month to just get to know the keyboard shortcuts in litwave i did quit… I dont like the way the layer works and the impossibility of creating independant objects, somthing very useful in c4d…
But i do know lightwave is big gear but a real pain in the arse to learn howto use it ;-)…
nice one eg! does it take batteries…
3d, yep you are the only one i know…mmmm, maybe i will try out C4d trial…
Kick *** picture Love the magna look on it… and the texture, and the model…
Thanks schling, glad you like it. =)
shiny…i like shiny things
shiny bot! nice bot! nice image!:beam:

**c4ds just a simple version of maya, they made it to be a clone so they could sell it for cheaper and help people learn maya threw it **
Are you sure about that hojo? Both application are really quite different . Where Cinema has Hyper nurbs in Maya has nurbs, that and few other things are the only similarities i can see. One tool which cinema has that maya dosent is the bridge tool, which i think would be great for maya.
::::and Egeek, nice work mate, looks great.
Have you set up some up some character animation rigs yet??
ok i never quite got what NURBS was. i know its an opion in 3dsm but i dont know what it is…
Nurbs are for creating more organic shapes in 3d.
You also have Subd’s which is like using Nurbs but having the editing ability of Polygons.
::Since Nurbs are based on points or CV’s (control verticies) the way you model using Nurbs is different than Polygons, Its like Nurbs is Vector, working with curves and points, while polygon is working with faces, shapes, and vetexs.
ok so like if i wanted to do a flower or something NURBS would be the better choice? and yeah that mech animated! WHOA!
well it all depends on your modelling skills and choice of weapon, you can still use polygons roughing out the shape of your flower and then smooth all your faces after your finish.
yeah i gotta work on my 3d skills. but its just SO hard you know?
Or what alot of people do is actually go to polygons to subd’s because of the ease of using both polygon modeling style while having a smooth result.
hmm, i will look for Subd’s cause i havent seen them…but i have been watching some 3d buzz tuts and those are really nice!
